Challenging controls, monotonous game play
Street Outlaws is a great racing simulator on urban routes by very powerful cars, which will surely appeal to fans of extreme driving. A distinctive feature of the game is that there is an extremely small number of straight routes on the vast locations. And how to conquer a track with lots of turns driving a powerful car? That's right - to perform this you will have to learn how to use the handbrake and take turns in a controlled drift.
Game featuresIn fact, the entire game is dedicated to drift and, no matter what race mode you choose, either you will drive alone or with an opponent, first of all your progress will be evaluated by the length of drifts. Of course, in a race with a virtual opponent the position at the finish will be important as well, but if you decide to cut all the turns and get ahead in this way while your opponent is practicing drift at every turn, you will have to kiss good-bye the first place and the prize points.
For each race, you will receive a small reward in the form of gold that can be used to buy new spare parts, to upgrade the existing elements, as well as to improve the appearance of the vehicle. Furthermore, it is possible to change the car dramatically and pass over to a different class of competition. However, opponents will also become stronger and more aggressive, but the game is designed for your improving your skills by moving on to more complex tasks.
ControllingAnother distinctive feature of the game is its controlling. It is also different from the usual races because simple acceleration and brakes are not enough for the full drift. There are not the conventional brakes in this game, but there is the handbrake which button of control looks appropriate and is located in the lower left corner of the screen.
For acceleration, almost the entire right side of the screen is responsible, made in the form of a scale to be filled depending on where you keep your right thumb. The higher you lift your finger, the greater the acceleration is and thus the greater the possibility of skidding is. Although, the increase in power in skilled hands makes the drift really spectacular.
Charging money and scorePoints for drift begin to be accrued as soon as the car begins to skid, and the result is summarized whenever its moving is aligned. If during the drift you get off the road or there is a collision with an obstacle, all the points accumulated up to the moment, get lost and you receive a notification in the center of the screen.
ResumeThe graphics in the game are three-dimensional and made very good. The sound consists of a roaring engine and nice rap soundtrack. You can download the game Street Outlaws for free and play as long as you want though looking at an advertising banner in the menu, or buy a version without ads.
