Quality animation, unusual graphics, lots of levels, exciting game play, simple controls, true-to-life physics
Difficult to play without in-app purchases, aggressive donation system
Where's My Water? 2 is a continuation of adventures of the cleanly crocodile named Swampy where you will find a lot of interesting levels requiring a more serious approach than the first part of the game. It starts quite familiarly: you will need to dig a borehole for water in the ground in order to collect all the rubber ducks and fill the shower stall of the crocodile.
Having coped with the task perfectly, you can safely move on to the next level where you will find a peculiar duck race, but if you fail to gather all the ducklings in the first task (as, indeed, in any other), we would recommend you to replay the level since in the future you will still have to do it.
Game featuresSo, the main difference of this game in comparison with its predecessor (in terms of plot) is that Swampy has to accustom his new friends Allie and Cranky to water procedures, and it's you who will help him with this difficult matter. However, here is one problem that you have to solve at least to get an opportunity to reach the new friends of the main character.
Every few levels, you will be stopped by a gate on which there will be written how many ducks you have to collect to lift it and pass on. Because of this you will have to do your best at each level, as we have mentioned at the beginning of the review. In terms of gameplay, there are few changes but they yet are present. The first innovation which you will encounter is the activation of the vacuum in ducklings. This will help you to collect water in them but because of this you may lose some of its reserves, as very often the water will be attracted to such places where there is no exit.
Unpleasant surprisesThe next major innovation is that now this game as well as all of its predecessors in this series are distributed free of charge. To be frank, there will be little joy of this, especially for those who is opposed to in-game purchases. Previously, you could download the first part of "Where's My Water?" and "Where's My Perry?" and "Where's My Mickey?" by paying quite a nominal sum of money and enjoy the gameplay without any restrictions. Now, all of these games can be downloaded for free, but in order to play through each of them completely, you will have to part with a sum equivalent to $12-$20 (each).
ResumeSay the least of it, this money is very, very serious. At least, for the games of this genre. In terms of graphics, the game has become a little better. The accompanying sound and music have also become more diverse. No doubt, we recommend to every fan of arcades to install the game and try to play through those levels which are available without investments through the system Donat. However, you will make up your mind on further passage on your own.
