Eyes on Dragon is a very original third-person runner for Windows Phone in which you will not get away from someone but chase a dragon escaped. Judging by the story, the main character was ordered to guard the fire-breathing dragon but at one point he fell asleep. Naturally, the prisoner didn't wait for his guard to wake up, and fled.
Everything would be alright, but the dragon cannot control himself, and if you don't catch him, he will burn everything encountered on the way. You will have to run on three-dimensional paths hanging somewhere in space and being built right in front of your eyes. The track is divided into three lengthwise lanes, each of which may comprise some or other obstacles.
Gameplay featuresYour objective is to jump from one lane to another in time, at least if you do not want to run into a tree or an angry bull rushing from the opposite direction. In cases when it is impossible to get to another lane (and there will be plenty of such cases), you will need to figure out how to avoid a collision with an obstacle by jumping it over or sliding under it on the back.
Given the peculiarity of these very obstacles, as well as the view from the back at a certain angle implemented in the game, it is not always clear what is better to do. Over time, you will certainly learn to determine obstacles and already know which of them can be overcome this or that way, but at the beginning of the game this feature will definitely cause you some difficulties.
Obstacles, bonuses and mini-gamesThe main obstacles in the game are cliffs, bulls and trees, as well as their branches and roots. There are also hidden obstacles that you may encounter owing to distraction, and, of course, there are bonuses that to a large extent will cause that distraction. For example, you may pick up a simulator that allows you to jump to a height, and from that moment on the game becomes a jumper like Doodle Jump. After you fail to get to another island in the jumper, you will return to the previous location, and here you will find a surprise requiring immediate reaction.
The thing is that usually such simulators are located near a cliff or another obstacle and while returning to the main location, you will surely say goodbye to your life, if you do not move the mentee to the adjacent lane of the path and force him to make the leap. Of course, the game provides also normal bonuses that allow to collect more coins on the road and earn crystals which let to resurrect the main hero in case of failure, at that, some of them can be purchased in the game store.
ResumeThe graphics are three-dimensional and quite good in the game, though there is felt a little negligent performance of the locations and the main character. The soundtrack consists mostly of dynamic music and goes well with the gameplay.
