Bomberman vs. Zombies is a very dynamic arcade game for Windows Phone which gameplay is familiar to many of us back to the time when the most coveted toy was a videogame console. Already from the name of the game it is clear that we will deal with zombies, mutants and other vermin. We will manage a brave heart who has an endless amount of explosives at his disposal.
GameplayAt the beginning of each level of the game all the characters are trapped in a sort of cellar rooms. To gain access to the room or leave it you need to lay explosives around the box blocking the passage and move away to a safe distance until the bomb explodes. Zombies are destroyed in the same way but the caveat is that they are constantly on the move and when faced with an obstacle they turn around and leave. Because of this you will have to calculate the time of the explosion as well as the pathway that is left between the bomb and the potential victim so that at the moment of the explosion they were situated next to each other.
The best option is to calculate the route of the zombies' moving and to lay explosives in time. However, this only applies to the first levels in which the main character will run into the mutants having a body. After some time in the labyrinth of the basements there will emerge zombie ghosts that are able to penetrate walls and appear everywhere. By this time the requirements of the game will soften a little though it is not indulgence but rather the only way to survive.
The thing is that firstly, you will have to kill all members of the underworld and only then the hatch leading into the next cellar will open. With the advent of disembodied zombies you will only need to find the key to the hatch hidden under one of the boxes, and you cmay as well go to the next location. No, of course you can first try to destroy all the zombies and only then move on to the other basement but this is not so easy.
It is especially difficult to cope with those who at any moment can disappear and re-appear in another corner of the basement. By the way, due to the same ghosts the main character will not feel safe even in a locked room. In addition to the key, some bonuses can be found under the boxes but frankly, there is not so much use of them as we would like.
ResumeControlling the movements of the main character can be performed using the four-positional controller in two sizes or sliding gestures of a finger across the screen. We would recommend the first method since the playing field stretches a bit beyond the screen and swipes are required to move the map. Of course, the active zones of the screen are divided into the right and left half but while using gestures the confusion is inevitable.
