Aces of the Luftwaffe is an extremely dynamic scrolling shooter for Windows Phone, where you have to confront the Luftwaffe Air Force in the skies over Britain. You are to overcome a long distance under fire from enemy aircraft of various classes and types. At your disposal will be a single plane which should be protected like the apple of your eye.
GameplayAt first, everything is very simple. There are few enemy planes, and most of them will behave like a kamikaze trying to ram into your aircraft and inflict as much damage as possible without the use of weapons. Your aircraft is equipped with a usual machine gun which is more than enough to clean up the sky. After some time, in the sky there will emerge stronger enemy aircraft, and they will also start to shoot at you.
After a couple more levels the real fighter aircraft will come in the battle, and the game will grow really hot. Of course, there is a cause for concern, but it is not the time to panic yet. Practically for each destroyed enemy you will receive various bonuses which will greatly facilitate your life. These could be a new weapon with a larger standard target area and increased rate of fire, a repair kit restoring the technical condition of your aircraft, and even assistants.
ControllingAs assistants there are additional aircraft which can be maximum two. You don't have to control them. They themselves are flying next to your aircraft, follow you anywhere in the screen and start automatic fire even when your gun is silent. In the left bottom corner of the screen you will see an indicator with a needle. As soon as the needle reaches the red zone, the indicator will turn into a button. Click on it when it becomes very hard, and a small squadron of allied aircraft will sweep across the sky destroying all living things (except for you, of course).
ResumeThe controlling in the game is very simple. Slide your finger across the screen, and your aircraft will be immediately sent to the specified point. It is highly inadvisable to remove the finger from the screen in any case, because as soon as you do this, the machine gun mount stops working. The graphics in the game are very peculiar. You will see not only a fairly high-quality rendering of locations and a variety of weather conditions, but also a decent animation. Though the aircraft themselves are designed a bit primitive. That is, they are made up of pixels as if flew right from a video game console popular in the 90s. As a soundtrack to the game there is music as well as roar of gunfire and explosions which go well with what is happening on the screen.
