Decent animation, quality 3d graphics, every level brings something new, unusual plot, interesting game play
Kills your battery, challenging controls, paid continuation
Mass Effect:Infiltrator is an incredibly dynamic shooter for Windows Phone, which was awaited for by many fans of the genre. In general, the game's developer is the Electrois Arts company, however, in the Marketplace Nokia Corporation is listed as a publisher which casts doubts about the compatibility of the game with the other smartphones that are based on OS Windows Phone. But let's not think about the bad and incomprehensible, and proceed to review this space shooter.
Okay, the plot of the game is centered on the illegal experiments on captured aliens on the territory of a secret base. Behind all this is the organization named Cerberus, and its protection is professional killers. You too were once one of the agents of Cerberus, but when the director of the base had gone too far with his experiments on aliens taken prisoner, you decided to ruin this den of murderers brick by brick, to get valuable information for the alliance and try to get out of this black spot.
Gameplay featuresHonestly speaking, you will not have a chance to fully shoot at enemies in this game, and it's all because of a rather strange controllling. Before you start firing or proceed to a close combat, you have to choose the type of weapon or to determine the combat maneuver, which in general is not so bad. However, you will not be able to fully experience the shooting, as the main character performs nearly everything all by himself. You can only select the next target, and if it is within a reasonable distance, the main character will bring down fire on it. At this point, you are only given the opportunity to manage the sight but within certain limits.
Well, since you have been granted such a grace, try to meet the expectations of developers and shoot enemies only in the head. You can as well kill the enemy shooting at the body, legs or arms, but it will take several times more ammunition. The hero can move in the game by only the provided routes, and though there is the similar nuance observed in the Modern Combat 4 game, here the developers clearly overdid it. You will need to make short dashes, manage to hide behind a stone or other shelter, and wait for the enemy to run out of ammunition or just to make a pause. Only then you can pop out from the shelter and pour the leaden rain on the enemy territory.
Smart opponents and quest tasksThe catch here is that the enemy is also good in hiding behind shelters and is often not alone. That is, the moment will come when few fighters of Cerberus pop out from the cover and start shooting at you from all sides. Some moments of the game resemble an adventure quest, and as long as you fail to perform a certain task, you cannot advance in the game.
ResumeIn general, the shooter turned out to be recherche, and the only thing that will appeal to all players without exception, is the graphics and sound which are designed very efficiently. The rest we cannot guarantee. In addition, the price is not small at all. However, you can download the Mass Effect: Infiltrator game for free and play a couple of missions before you decide to purchase or uninstall it.
