Rise Of Glory is a great air combat simulator for Windows Phone, where you have the opportunity to sit behind the wheel of an ancient plane and try to implement the order in the skies over your beloved land. There are not so much jets in this game as we would like, and do not expect to see the models that can be called iron birds, since they are all made of wood, but it does not mean that the game is boring and uninteresting.
Quite the opposite, and perhaps only because these models are not capable of abrupt maneuvers, you have a good chance to become a true professional at this difficult field. During the first missions in the Campaign mode you will be trained operation of the aircraft and some tricks during the battle, and then gradually you will receive missions to destroy enemy aircraft.
Of course, over time even in this mode you will get to the fierce fighting for a place in the sun, and with every minute it will be harder to fight. However, for the impatient players the game has the Quick match mode in which you will be faced with an aggressor in the very first quests. There are a holy load of enemy aircraft in the game, and these are not a decoration.
Gameplay featuresThe artificial intelligence in the game is so developed that you will be surrounded by the whole squadron that is able to fire for effect from all sides. Once you just tag along one enemy, and other enemy aircraft come to his aid. In addition to the aimed fire, the enemy aircraft succeeds to evade your bullets, so there is no sense to shoot in all directions. The closer you are to the enemy, the better the chances that you will destroy it.
The most difficult momet in the game is a meeting with a suicide bomber who has just decided to give up his life for the sake of destruction of your aircraft, therefore, approaching the enemy you have to be prepared to dramatically change the course and take a sideline. Controlling in the game is very simple. The accelerometer is responsible for steering and height, and virtual buttons and levers are controlling the operation of other systems and the firing from various weapons. Another difficult aspect is that your aircraft fuel tanks have a certain capacity, and the gasoline tends to come to an end.
ResumeJust because you cannot be in the sky for very long time, you will lose most of the fights and crash falling from a great height down on a realistic landscape. The graphics are very nice and made quite accurately. The sound is good, too, and goes well with the gameplay.
