Talk to friends all over the world for free

In front of you is the most popular client of communication working through the Internet connection, Skype. Not so long ago, this application was considered a luxury rather than means of communication, because thanks to it we were able not only to correspond with each other, but also to call our friends who have access to the Internet, and at the same time to see each other on a home computer screen. As few as 20 years ago, it could only be seen in science fiction films, and now a computer with access to the network is available in every home, but the progress has not stopped.
Now having this program in your smartphone, you can communicate with your loved ones who are living all over the world, on the street and almost for free. This is especially true for those who have unlimited internet tariff, and those who are in the area of good reception of 4G/3G-networks. In addition to calls and messages, you can send and receive a variety of files, be aware of when your friends have the birthday, and more. Also, having added money to your account in Skype, for example, with a bank / credit card, you can even call to landlines and ordinary numbers of mobile operators worldwide for a nominal sum. At least this kind of communication is several times cheaper than using GSM-connection.
InterfaceThe application's interface is very simple and intelligible even for beginners. On the home page upon launch, you can find all the latest events (preset / past birthdays of your friends, unread messages, missed calls and missed files). On the same page in the top right corner of the screen there is a round badge with your avatar. Click on it and you'll be redirected to the page where you can change your status. However, you will not see the Offline position there, and the only thing you can do is to put the status of Online or Invisible. In the same menu, by the way, you can top up the internal account that allows you to talk with subscribers of fixed and mobile networks.
Navigation and video featuresBack on the home page and one finger slide to the left takes you to a screen with favorite contacts. Another slide, and you're already on the screen with other contacts. Calls and correspondence are to be performed very simply - select a contact, and then the action (write a message or call). During the test of the program on the smartphone Nokia Lumia 920, the application has behaved very decently, but there is one observation which may disappoint many of you. In general, the fact is that our interlocutor saw everything we showed him, and in principle you can switch to the front camera and show what is around you in an even better quality, but we have not seen him. That is, the video is only unilateral.
ResumeAs for the rest, the program has successfully coped with its task. One more thing we would like to write about is the fact that you need to be careful when using roaming, since prices on the internet outside the home region may become a very unpleasant surprise for you. In such situations it is better to use free Wi-Fi.
