A hectic endless runner

Great graphics, simple controls, fun gameplay
Lots of ads, limited gameplay mechanics
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Ketchapp have pretty much nailed making tons of money making fun endless games with relatively little investment on the developer side of things. Floors for Android is another one-touch endless runner that will have you playing for days and weeks to come.
The premise of the game is simple: there are spikes randomly laid out on the floor and you have to jump over them. This is simple at first but the game understands that. So instead of displaying a static floor over and over again, the developers have used several floors. Now, you can’t see the other floors when you’re already on one. So if you’re on floor 2 then the other floors will remain black. Each floor is relatively short, too, so it all comes together in a very short process where you have to react to the floor you’re on and then jump over the spikes pretty quickly. You typically only have a second or two to react.
Sometimes the game will throw a few curve balls your way, too. There may be spikes on the floor, for instance. The entire game is designed to try and be as unpredictable as possible so you’re always on your guard. That’s ultimately what makes the game so fun, though.
The game has a few rewards, too. You can unlock different characters to play as, but I did encounter some bugs here. For some reason, the game will depict every character the same after you play for a bit. It didn’t happen every time I opened the game, but it was a bit annoying.
Overall, it’s not surprising that Floors is a fun game. The developers really know what they’re doing when it comes to making fast, short, and fun games. My only gripe, as always, is the amount of ads the game can throw at you.
