Sluggish tower defense in medieval times

Interesting plot, one-finger controls
Not interesting game play, low quality graphics, low quality animation
Empire Defense II for Android is a medieval combat game. Build up your defenses to protect your empire from enemy attack.
Empire Defense II follows the tried and true format of tower defense play and places it squarely in within the theme of kings and warriors. You are charged with protecting the kingdom from attack. Deploy soldiers along a pathway traveling through your domain, then strategically place your horseman at a safe distance, so all the lowly peons can kill and die long before he sees any action. Once you're happy with your forces, or run out of money to deploy more, just sit back and watch the slaughter. The enemy literally comes marching on through like idiots and your soldiers massacre them while they don't even try to defend themselves.
The graphics aren't that great at all. The battles are not even battles, because the combat is so one sided. The animation is flat out terrible and adds virtually nothing to the intrigue or play. This game is crude and unrefined overall, and as a result, is just flat out boring. I think kids might enjoy it because they'll at least have a fighting chance to conquer this tedious little game. Virtually no skill is required, just an abundance of patience.
Empire Defense II has promise but falls well short of the mark. Apparently this is the second in the series and I'm hard pressed to see anything worth playing here. Hopefully part 3 is when the real game finally begins.
