Controls are wobbly, it's multiplayer only
If you were anything like me as a kid, you probably had a fort at some point. Whether it was made of wood or bed sheets, it was a hotspot for fun and imagination. Fortress Fury for Android is a game that captures that same sense of childlike yearning for building forts and puts it into an addictive and fun game.
As you might imagine, the game revolves around building a fort. The cool thing is that you're not really building one in real time. You get to perfect your fort all by yourself. In order to build the most awesome and well protected fort you can, you'll need to protect it with shields, concrete, and catapults. Each fort has a heart, and once that's destroyed, you're done for. so you want to disguise your heart among the rest of your fort.
You are limited by resources when it comes to what type of fort you can build, so you'll never be in a position where you can build an impenetrable fort. A match will put two forts against each other, and each fort will try and find the heart before the other. In order to do so, you’ll need to take over every catapult and manually aim and fire each in order to find it. Simply finding it isn’t enough, however. Once you do find it, you’ll need to blast your way through to destroy it.
Most of the gameplay revolves around fights against other players, which is cool, but there isn’t really any fun gameplay mode where you can just test your luck against the AI. I would have liked to have seen a mode where you’re just playing against the computer in some sort of campaign mode.
Over all, Fortress Fury is a really fun multiplayer game. For multiplayer fans, this is great, for people who just like to play by themselves, you’ll probably be turned off by what most of this game has to offer.
