Funny sounds, neat graphics, decent game play
Needs to be elaborated, too easy, very common
Kwazy Cupcakes for Android is a simple but charming match 3 gwame, starring a kute koala kritter that's kwaaaaaaaazeee for matching fun. Swide and swipe to match awl the yummy goodies and watch bursts of dewicious goodies expwode awl over your scween. Yippieee!
Kwazy Cupcakes displays in portrait to reveal a tried and true match 3 environment, populated with... yup, yummy cupcakes. As per usual, you're trying to match 3 cupcakes, or more, of the same color, which causes them to burst and disappear. Matching 4 and 5 cupcakes will earn you some kwazy power-ups, cool chain reactions and vibrant bursts of colors and pixels. The play is fairly predictable but manages to play well and entertain.
The controls use basic screen swipes and slides to make your matches on either the horizontal or vertical. The graphics are a tad on the small side, but decent enough to be enjoyed with lots of vibrant colors and yummy cupcakes to admire and enjoy. The animation is clean and lively, with lots of cool chain reactions and explosive visual triggers when you hit big combos. The sounds are lighthearted and amusing, and somehow remain enjoyable without grating on the nerves over time.
Kwazy Cupcakes feels a little pedestrian and one dimensional, but with a few minor tweaks, they could really have a winner here. This one is sure to entertain, even if it doesn't chart new territory; enjoy, match 3 fans!
