simple play, ideal for kids, lots of levels
Monotonous game play, bad detalization, slow animation
Master Of Limpich for Android is a side scrolling, platformer style puzzle game with some modest entertainment value. Help a clan of silly little green waddlers make it from the magic portal to the not so magical exit. This one is mildly entertaining and best suited for kids.
Master Of Limpich presents in landscape to offer a series of side scrolling mazes of sorts, traversing every which way through your screen. The play essentially takes place in a single screen, with nominal movement that reaches just beyond your screen's perimeter to offer pan and scan movement. Each level brings a little something new to the table, and the only real constant, is there's always a magical portal somewhere on the left, and a shoddy looking exit somewhere on the right. Your objective, is to guide a herd of little green minion looking characters from the magical portal to the not so magical exit. The little green minions aren't all that bright, so you gotta herd them like sheep. There's several floors stacked atop each other, and you gotta dig holes and place obstructions so as to shepherd your cluster of little green minions toward the exit. There will be casualties along the way, but the round is won when all surviving minions successfully reach the exit.
The controls use basic screen taps to deliver the goods, and were shoddy and crude at best; screen taps didn't always register the first time, and the array of buttons on the right didn't work well and felt clumsy. The graphics and animation offer needlessly miniscule views that detract from the play, with crude and sloppy renders to match. The sounds got on my nerves and inspired the use of my mute button.
Master Of Limpich feels very old and tired and in need of a modern update and a modicum of inspiration. This one is mediocre at best.
