Review Close Air Support
A pretty grounded flying experience

Easy to control
Poor graphics, boring gameplay, no variance in anything
There’s nothing quite like raining hell down on enemies from above. Close Air Support for Android is a game that lets you cruise around in the skies above enemy cities while blowing up every bit of resistance you see.
The game is controlled by a simple joystick on the left side that controls the direction your fighter flies in. Controlling the plane is really simple since the game plays out from a side-scrolling perspective. The only caveat is that it can be a bit awkward trying to aim your fighter at the target because it flies so slowly.
The gameplay is fun for the initial novelty but does begin to wither down. You’ll encounter enemies that get stronger and stronger and you’ll need bigger guns and more ammo to take everyone down. Unfortunately a lot of the unlocks and upgrades take quite a long time to grind out and I didn’t feel compelled to keep playing to unlock everything.
The game’s graphics also could use a bit of an overall. Everything is very generic and looks very typical of what you’d expect.
Close Air Support gives you a fun foundation to play around with but leaves very little there to keep you interested in continuing to play. The advertisements aren’t too intrusive and while the upgrades feel slow to come by, they’re faster than several other games like it.
