Battle demonic puppets

Unusual game design, unusual graphics, unusual game play
Too easy, bores you really quickly, slow animation
Puppet Punch is a truly silly and stupid game, and I find myself wondering what childhood trauma occurred to make someone come up with a demented app like this. No, it's not particularly scary, however, we are talking about demonic puppets that are coming to get you, and that statement alone makes me raise a brow.
So, as the story goes, you're playing as a female human avatar, or perhaps a very effeminate one, it's hard to tell. Anyway, you pop up through a hole in the floor, and are armed with a pair of boxing gloves, so clearly you came here itching for a fight. Then, dangling via strings from above, various puppets are lowered, each wielding a weapon, or encircled within spikes, and yes, they are indeed coming to get you. They poke, stab and jab you from all directions, and your mission, is to beat the ever living crap outta them until they go boom. But beware, because if they hit you first, you'll go ouch; rack up enough ouches in succession, and it's game over.
The visuals are interesting but come off a tad weird. The game definitely feels like something that would come out of Tim Burton's demented mind. Some of the puppets look more like those demonic masks you'd find at an ethnic, tribal sort of shop; the stuff nightmares are truly made from. Just tap your screen to deliver your best blows.
Puppet Punch is a true oddity. I'm hard pressed to call it fun or entertaining, but it's certainly unique.
