Colorful and classic word search play

Decent graphics, quality game play, one-finger controls
Lags a bit, too easy, very common
Word Search for Android is a simple and straightforward seek and find wordsmith game that plays exactly like a pencil to paper classic, minus the pencil and paper. The game is played on an 8x8 grid with plain black letters placed atop a stark white background. There's loads of different categories to be played, including, quests, quick play, daily puzzle and surprise quest. You can even play one on one match-ups against opponents, and yes, even chat with them live if you like. Personally, I think the addition of head to head play is interesting and novel, but sort of flies in the face of what a classic word search is, which is a game played solo. But I think it's cool they are trying to take the game new places and offer something original.
Just select a puzzle that interests you to begin playing. You will see a list of words you're looking for at the bottom of the screen, and all you gotta do is find them. Once you find a word, just touch the screen and slide your finger to capture the word. Instead of outlining each word, you're actually drawing a colored shape around them. Each different word found is denoted with its own color, making the whole puzzle look quite interesting as you go along and find all the words.
The app functions well enough but does suffer from some persistent lags, which is saying a lot given what little is actually going on here. But still, Word Search is still one of the best of its kind out there and I enjoy playing it.
