Review Sky Wings
A very drab endless runner

Tight controls, fluid gameplay
Useless power-ups, incredibly repetitive assets
Sky Wings for Android is an endless runner that challenges you to fly through rough weather and though obstacles to become the ultimate Sky Wings champion. Unfortunately, being an endless runner, that's kind of an impossible task because there is no literal end to the game, so it kind of sets you up to fail from the get-go.
There are three rows to navigate your plane through and you do this by simply swiping in the direction you want to go. For some reason there are tons of floating rocks and structures that you need to dodge and avoid so you don't die. Bad weather and planes are also potential dangers you'll want to be on the lookout for.
Power-ups exist as well and you can unlock ways to strengthen these throughout the game, but unfortunately there is no way to upgrade your plane itself. Aside from the magnet, none of the other power-ups really feel that useful either. I never found myself going out of my way to pick one up because it was easier not taking the risk.
Gameplay is kind slow paced, though and I found the same patterns and structures repeat over and over again. To me, this just screams lazy development. There really isn’t any reason to see the same content over and over again.
At this point, endless runners have really run their course for me and Sky Wings doesn't do anything to make it a good game. Controls are functional but seeing reused assets minutes into the game just shows how little effort actually went into developing the game.
