Neat animation, quality graphics, addictive game play
Lags a bit, too easy, difficult to play without in-app purchases
If you love need for speed driving games, then here's one that takes all that action and gear grinding and plops it into the open waters. Driver Speedboat Paradise for Android is a jet ski racing game with loads of tracks to unlock and try, and naturally, copious upgrades and modifications to be made in the garage to tweak the performance of your aquatic racing beast and make it go as fast as possible while improving handling, and perhaps even adding a few flames or custom paint to trick out your ride.
The play is very much like any quality car racing game you've tried before. The game starts you off in the wild waters of Miami, and definitely goes for broke with intense play and quality illusions of speed and intensity. You're racing against live and computer opponents here, and it's a veritable free for all, with loads of power ups to collect along the way and some cool stunts to pull off just for the fun of it.
The graphics are highly detailed and successfully inspire angst and imperative. The animation delivers excellent illusions of speed, with plenty of splashing water for good measure. The sounds are heavy on testosterone and aggression, which rounds out the quality play quite well.
Driver Speedboat Paradise is just good fun and is sure to entertain racing fans. And the simple controls assure this one remains accessible to players of all skill levels.
