Neat graphics, interesting plot, exciting game play, simple controls
The Quest Keeper for Android is the child of Crossy Road and the roguelike genre. In this game, you must cross paths, dodge obstacles and travel over floating logs whilst avoiding rivers. However, at the same time you can also collect coins, open chests and find loot to equip your character with.
This game starts by putting you in a large dungeon alongside a wizard. The wizard happens to have lost a series of treasures and other items within a big dungeon, and he has asked you to go out and collect them. If RPG games have taught us anything, it's that dungeons aren't easy places to travel through, and you would be right in thinking that finding all of the items is going to take a lot of adventuring and skill.
To play this game you must swipe the screen to change the direction of the character you are controlling. Your character will keep moving as soon as you start playing, so you only have the swipe controls to keep him out of harm's way. There will be all sorts of dangers in this game, including spike traps, rivers, bats and stone blocks that fall down into deep, dark canyons. Each time you play, the level is procedurally generated so you will always have something different to experience. There will, however, be similar objects and mechanics that you will regularly see.
One object that you will come across regularly is a chest, and these can be opened by walking into them. Chests are great because they can be opened to collect coins and these coins can be spent on upgrades from the main menu. On top of having really fun addictive gameplay and cool loot mechanics, this game also has some very awesome 3D "bloxel" graphics that a lot of you will enjoy.
The Quest Keeper is free to play but you can use in-app purchases to get more coins.
