Monster Stones for Android is a fun tabletop battle game that has taken clear inspiration from the age old game of marbles. In this game, you can collect different monsters and you can take up to three of them into battle against opponents.
The objective of this game is to flick your own monsters into the enemy's monsters. You are given a board to play on, and both players will take it in turn to flick one of their stones each turn. Whilst marbles may have been the base of inspiration for this game, hitting other stones with your own monster seems to do a lot more damage than a standard marble would. You can even flick your own monsters into each other to trigger special abilities.
There is a huge collection of monsters to unlock and they all have their own unique appearance, stats, rarity and special ability. As you play, you can level up your monsters too. Unlocking stones can be done by buying booster packs with in-game currency or through in-app purchases. The rarity system is a bit similar to a trading card game. You may end up getting many multiples of the same common monsters, whilst rarer monsters are much harder to unlock.
On top of the fun collectible elements in this game, you can play through different missions to progress as a monster stone collector. Your stones will level up alongside you and you can use collected items to transfuse into experience for your monsters. There is also an online mode where you can battle with other players across the world.
Monster Stones is free, but there are a variety of different in-app purchases in this game.
