Neat graphics, true-to-life game play, addictive game play, simple controls
We've all played those prize grabber games in the arcade, but it just seems that no matter how hard you try, the claws just aren't designed to pick up the prizes in the machine. Fortunately, Prize Claw for Android simulates the experience and makes it surprisingly fun, and a lot easier to grab prizes.
As you can imagine, this game features a special simulated claw machine that you can control with a virtual joystick. In the machine there are a variety of prizes and you can use the 'grab' button to reach down and attempt to pick up these prizes. It seems that collecting prizes seems to be based 50% on claw placement and 50% on luck. Sometimes the claws just don't pick up the items and when this happens you need to use more of your limited attempts to retry.
Whilst there are plenty of cool prizes to grab, you can also collect coins and these can be spent on special upgrades. Some upgrades can improve your claw quality and this can help you to grab more prizes successfully. As you play, your experience level will increase and this will also unlock special perks, such as bombs which can be used to mix up the items in the machine.
If I were to summarize this game, I'd say it's as if the developers have taken a real claw machine, made it easier to win, and then added a bunch of cool addictive game elements to make the game endlessly enjoyable. Some players may get a bit bored of the repetitive gameplay, but there is a certain addictive nature that keeps you coming back. The game has also been developed well, and it's great graphics and neat interface is certainly easy on the eye.
Prize Claw is free, but there are plenty of in-app purchases and quite a few ads to deal with.
