Perfect soundtrack, neat graphics, interesting plot, addictive game play
There have been plenty of PC zombie survival games over the past few years, but good zombie survival games for mobile devices are far and few between. Fortunately, Dark Dayz for Android may just be the mobile zombie experience you've been craving.
In this game you will take control of a character from a bird's eye perspective. Your objective is to survive for as long as possible by fighting zombies, building up defenses and collecting resources to use for building supplies and crafting new weapons. There are a variety of different zombies in this game, and you'll need to be on your feet if you plan to survive.
Along with the addictive and engaging survival elements of this game, you'll find that there is a very decent story campaign that takes you through the story of the character you play as. It seems rare to see well thought out stories in mobile games, so I was pleasantly surprised to find out about the story in this game. The dark gritty level environment and the horror-style graphics and interface also add to the spooky aura that the story gives off. The soundtrack is also very fitting for the game, and you'll enjoy the eerie feel it gives.
Whilst you can craft the majority of weapons and supplies for free, it does take quite a lot of time to craft the better items. There are in-app purchases that can help you to acquire better gear.
Dark Dayz is free, and even though it has in-app purchases in the game, there is more than enough content to make it worth playing through, even if you do spend a bit on in-game content.
