Quality animation, quality 3d graphics, online multiplayer, simple controls
I've always thought teddy bears were cute, but if you equip them with machine guns, rocket launchers and flamethrowers your perspective on teddy bears quickly changes. In Battle Bears Gold for Android you'll learn about just how menacing teddy bears can be.
This game gives players the ability to create their very own over-equipped teddy bear that they can enter into battle with. Players can choose between a variety of different cosmetic appearances, and they can also unlock all sorts of weapons and abilities. Once a player has created a bear they are happy with, they can hop online and fight other players from across the world.
There are a variety of different game modes that are inspired by many other modern FPS games. Each game will place a team of four players against another equally equipped team. In most cases, the game will continue to play out til the game objective, such as 25 kills, is reached. When you first get into a game you'll notice that the controls are pretty responsive, and the cartoon style weapons and game mechanics have been designed so that it's easy to fire upon your enemies.
One thing some players may be frustrated with is that you can die very quickly. It only takes a very small amount of damage for your bear to be destroyed, and when this happens players can come and collect energy from your body to spend in the store later. Whilst the different game modes and the battle arenas are great fun, I think it's the huge variety of items in the store that keep players coming back. The huge variety of weapons and cosmetic items in the store make you feel like you've entered the military equivalent of a build-a-bear workshop.
Battle Bears Gold is free, but there are various in-app purchases that can be used to purchase better gear and cosmetic items.
