Decent graphics, two-finger controls
Too easy, monotonous game play, low quality animation
Masha: search and rescue for Android is a tedious little game about guiding a hot air balloon through a side scrolling environment. Rescue the bunnies, collect yummy candies, and be annoyed by cheesy and cringe worthy sounds. This one is best suited for kids.
Masha: search and rescue displays in landscape to reveal a side scrolling, outdoor environment laden with moving earthen platforms, wind currents and yummy goodies to collect along the way. Just guide your hot air balloon up and down to successfully navigate through this highly repetitive aerial obstacles course. Each time you see a bunny, fly your hot air balloon close enough to drop ladder and pick him up. There's also a bear that appears occasionally in the river below, but he never sticks around long, which is a shame, because it's the coolest part of the game. The play is rather dull and monotonous, and goes nowhere fast.
The controls use an up button on the lower right, and a go fast wind button on the lower left; just use both in tandem to navigate the many obstacles and go as far as you can. The graphics are ok, but there's really not much to them. The animation is overly simplistic, basically rendering motion tracking on still images. The sounds get on your nerves, right quick, featuring abrasive spoken word that's just flat out stupid, and the occasional sound effect.
Masha: search and rescue isn't all too appealing, though perhaps kids would love it; just beware, parents, the sounds will induce headaches.
