Socialife News: My RSS News for Android is a very slick and modern RSS feed reader with a nice interface and lots of custom settings. This one takes your basic RSS feed and transports it into the 21st century. If you subscribe to a lot of RSS feeds, then this is the reader to get.
Socialife News: My RSS News displays in portrait only, which seems to be an odd choice for a new reader app, but okay, let's roll with that. The app opens to reveal a very modern and dynamic vertically scrolling interface, populated with headlines, minimal text and high quality images. The app makes some assumptions as to your interests, offering an array of content from a host of different sources. So right off the top, you'll want to edit the offerings to suit your taste. There's a lot of good feeds here, so don't just haphazardly start deleting everything until you at least give it a look. Tapping any of the entries on the main page brings up all articles for that particular feed, and tapping any of those displays the full article, additional images, "read more" links, and an "others are also reading" list of suggested articles. Everything looks modern and inviting.
The app functions fairly quickly considering most of these pages are opening external websites and displaying them within the app. There's a short menu at the top of your screen with icons for Headlines, which is where you can edit the feeds offered, then there's a + icon, which is where you can add your own RSS feed, a comment icon, and a refresh icon that will reload all feeds.
Socialife News: My RSS News is a very nice RSS reader and probably one of the best I have personally tried. If you subscribe to a lot of feeds, or would like to start, then this one is worth checking out.
