Lots of settings, interesting functionality, various features
Weak functionality, not powerful enough
Total Launcher for Android is a modern and inviting launcher with some modest functionality. Give your gizmo a whole new look and feel with this simple launcher alternative.
Total Launcher is a decent launcher app that adds a whole new look to your Android device. I get asked a lot what the main difference between iPhone and Android, and the easy answer is interface customization. There's a bit more to it than that, but essentially, that's the most noticeable difference, at least visually anyways. To make use of this app, just install it, then tap your home button at the bottom of the screen, which will cause a dialog box to pop up, asking you which launcher you'd like to use to complete the action. My advice, is to select the Total Launcher from the list, then tap the "Just Once" icon, which will allow you to see what this app has to offer without committing to the choice until you know if you like it. If you accidentally do it wrong and have made this app your default launcher, fret not, because you can set everything back to normal by just uninstalling this app; no harm no foul.
This app's interface is rather simple and sparse. It basically adds a new quick launch screen for your homescreen, offering a high impact month, day and date reading, along with a modest selection of quick launch icons for your most frequently used apps, all of which can be customized; just press and hold your screen to bring up the settings page. Swiping your main screen laterally takes you to the next screen on the right, which holds an iPhone style list of icons for your favorite apps. The next screen to the right, offers a collection of quick dial icons, culled from your contacts list.
Total Launcher is a decent launcher that functions quickly and can be custom tweaked to your liking.
