Battle the alien menace in a retro action game

Action packed gameplay, an abundance of weapons to unlock
Pixelated graphics, no free version
Alien invaders have once again launched an attempt to conquer our planet and it falls to the player to guide the heroic Buzz Killem in his crusade to save the planet.
Users can unlock a huge arsenal of weapons that Buzz can use in his fight against the alien menace, yet the limiting graphics engine make it feel somewhat unrewarding when the player is only gifted with a few pixels that symbolize the weapon and a different attack. Players are launched into an arena whose platforms sprawl multiple levels and are forced to survive endless enemy waves in order to complete objectives.
Whether it is taking out a number of specific enemies or collecting a number of power-ups, the player will be unable to progress to the next level until all prerequisites have been met. Aliens will often drop coins and more importantly valuable power-ups that enhance fighting capabilities or give the player a new weapon for a limited use.
Graphically the game is somewhat limited and the sound effects mirror this in every way, giving the game the feeling of a retro arcade game. The rather pixelated protagonist and enemies is something that must be countered with a highly engaging gameplay and sadly Buzz Killem fails to deliver.
Overall Buzz Killem feels like a generic arcade game; whether or not it is worth its minor price tag falls to each player to decide. Its simplistic design offers limited entertainment and its simplistic graphics hint at it being of rather poor quality.
