Global record chart, addictive game play, simple controls, quality physics
Amazing Gear for Android is a timekiller game that has a basic game objective that I have seen quite a few times before. In this game, you must tap each side of the screen to move a gear in the corresponding direction. You must try to survive for as long as possible whilst dodging obstacles.
The base gameplay is not that original, but there is one unique feature in this game that makes it stand out. If you stop tapping the screen, the gear will start to fall downwards, but you can use this to your advantage. If you are too close to an obstacle to get around it, you can stop tapping and wait for the gear to fall down slightly so that you can readjust the position of the gear. If the gear touches anything, or hits the bottom of the screen the game will end, so trying to use this feature to your advantage is pretty difficult.
There are no game rewards or bonuses to work towards, and besides from trying to increase your score, there is no real objective to this game either. This game is gearing up to be nothing more than a very basic timekiller game that you can play to pass the time. Despite lacking features, the game still has a nice interface, and the simple, minimal graphics work well. There are also a bunch of high quality sound effects that play when you do certain things in game.
This game is quite fun, and surprisingly addictive. It really depends on whether you feel the need for extra content and unlockables to keep things interesting, or you're happy with playing the basic gameplay provided in this game. There are certainly many more worse timekillers out there.
Amazing Gear is free to download and play. There are no in-app purchases, but there are adverts in this game.
