Review Run Bird Run

Decent animation, decent graphics, dynamic game play, simple controls
In-app purchases, features ads
Run Bird Run for Android is a game of dodging boxes that fall out of the sky. As the boxes land, they reshape the landscape that you have to run over to avoid the next wave of boxes. This bird doesn't fly anywhere, but can run up the vertical faces.
So this makes for an interesting and amusing game of judging where the next boxes are going to land, and getting out the way as quickly as possible. It's easy to misjudge, because they fall down from a long way up in the sky. Also, I somehow found it pretty tempting to stay in a tight space between two falling boxes, even though it meant I had to run up the sides of them to get out. As a result I was squished flat pretty often. It's fun to watch the bird running around with with an expression of panic.
There are also sweets falling from the sky, which you can collect for added satisfaction. Your accumulated sweets let you unlock all sorts of extra birds to run with. Part of the fun here is that you don't know what the bird looks like until you unlock it; only the price in sweets. They all behave exactly the same though, it's just a different character to play with or feel proud of. Run Bird Run makes a cute little timekiller, and I enjoyed the original concept.

Run Bird Run is an absolutely amazing timekiller game that features fun, addictive gameplay that'll keep you playing for hours. The gameplay in this game is incredibly simple, but beating your highscore can be tough.
The aim of this game is to use the directional controls to dodge any incoming crates as they fall down to the ground, Tetris style. You will receive warning signs showing off exactly where the crates will drop, so you can quickly figure out where you need to stand to avoid getting splatted. The controls are very responsive, and the charming little bird will move to your every command.
The longer you survive, the more difficult it will become. More crates will drop at once and they will start to drop faster as well. Because of this, you will need to be on your toes if you expect to go the distance and beat your highscore. On top of the fun, yet simple gameplay, there are a variety of elements that keep you playing for longer. Firstly, there are sweets that drop on the level, and you can collect these to amass a sweet collection. Your sweets can be spent on costume upgrades for your bird, as well as new background themes and other cool cosmetic changes.
There is also a free daily spin option that rewards you with a random number of sweets, encouraging players to stop by at least once each day. Players can also unlock special rewards by completing a number of challenges, which I personally think is pretty awesome. Like all games developed by Ketchapp, this game has a great interface, and everything runs as smooth as butter.
Run Bird Run is free, but you can spend on in-app purchases to unlock certain cosmetic items that can also be unlocked in-game for free.
