Quality 3D graphics, interesting plot, interesting game play, responsive controls
It's been a while since we've seen an endless racer game like Zombie Highway 2 for Android, but i'm happy to have waited. This game offers a huge amount of fun, and if you enjoy the first few minutes, you'll probably be playing for months.
Firstly, I'd just like to point out that the graphics in this game are superb. Right away you'll notice that not only does this game use high resolution 3D models and textures, but the game even includes realistic shading and lighting effects. This is perhaps one of the most graphically impressive games of it's sub-genre.
You'll have to do a lot more than fill a game like this with fancy graphics though. Gameplay needs to be unique, and that's pretty hard to do when the base concept has been done so many times before. This is a zombie endless racer game - you have to survive for as long as possible by tilting your device to steer a vehicle past obstacles and into zombies. You'll often have zombies attached to the side of your vehicle, and you will need to scrape them off by hitting them into car wrecks.
Fortunately, a lot has been added to make things a little more interesting. Firstly, there is a very interesting objective system. You will constantly have three different objectives at once, and completing one will move you further along the objective path found in the menu. For every objective you complete, you'll be rewarded with a new weapon, vehicle or item. This makes the game constantly rewarding because there are always things to unlock, but challenging because some objectives are a lot harder to complete than others.
Whilst Zombie Highway 2 does include in-app purchases, you can play the entirety of the game free without any issue.
