Almightree: The Last Dreamer for Android is an unusual 3D style puzzle game that's played on a landscape suspended in time and space. Escape each maze before the dreaded earthquake hits again and crumbles the entire landscape right out from under you.
Almightree: The Last Dreamer displays in landscape to reveal 3D perspective views of a maze comprised of earthen cubes that's suspended in midair. Your mission, is to traverse this airborne maze, climb cubes to different levels, collect the magical dots, and use the magic portal to move puzzle cubes and span precipices. You gotta make it to the magic tree, which makes it sprout really tall, and get there before the before another relentless earthquake hits, causing the entire suspended maze to rumble and shake before ultimately disintegrating and crumbling right out from under you. There's lots of levels to work through and this one is sure to be a hit with puzzle fans of all ages.
The controls use directional arrows on the lower left for movement, with special abilities buttons on the lower right. The graphics feature a vibrant color palate, with cartoonish style imagery that's inviting and engaging. The animation is a tad crude, but effectively delivers angst and imperative when the entire scene begins to rumble and shake, right before another major quake hits. The sounds feature minimal punctuation, and that relentless rumbling that just might loosen your bowels.
Almightree: The Last is a little rough around the edges, but remains wholly playable and engaging. This one’s fun and will entertain clear through to the end.
