Mad Animals 3D for Android is a fixed position shooting game. Waves of zombie animals come at you, and you mow them down with various machine guns before they start biting you. The levels feature different landscapes, and an increasingly tough flow of beasts. The game teases you with the more advanced weapons by sometimes letting you use them for a bit, before you unlock them.
There’s unlimited ammo, so you can just hold your finger down, spraying bullets, or laser pulses, or whatever, all over the place, and watching the zombie sheep, wolves, bats and lions explode with blood. It’s really quite an effective way to unwind after a stressful day. Occasionally there will be a suicide animal, packing some dynamite; and yes they blow up nicely too.
The guns feel big and powerful, and you really feel like you’re doing some serious damage to the zombie fauna. There’s no competition really, at least in the early levels, it’s easy to kill everything in sight. But nonetheless, it’s quite satisfying. Let’s face it, there are those days when you just need to kill something.
This game scratches that nerve, plain and simple. And the longer you keep playing, the bigger futuristic guns you’re going to get for killing things with. Sure, the animals just keep wandering in from the same directions, and not particularly fast or anything. It’s great just switching your brain off, and unleashing your pent-up hatred on digital beasts.
