Review Wonder Wool
Save the sheep from the giant

Decent animation, decent graphics, lots of levels, simple controls
No significant shortcomings
Wonder Wool for Android is a game in which you play an ancient Greek sheep God; shepherding your flock along an obstacle ridden path to safety. And all while they are being chased by a great big ogre, whose favourite food is lamb chops. That’s right, if he catches up with your sheep, he’s going to throw them into a sack on his back for later.
You help your flock by giving them encouraging little gusts of wind to blow them along. You can let them stop to eat flowers for extra points; but watch out that ogre doesn't eat them!
There are sometimes multiple ways you can go, and some paths will lead you to a dead end. It's best to try and send the sheep different ways, and only let one of them stop at a time. This hedges your bets so you can get at least one of your sheep to the end, and finish the level. You really only need to get one sheep through to the end, and that counts as a success; though of course you’ll score more points the more sheep you save.
You can also unlock a series of God powers, using your earned stars, and use these to help your sheep on their way. They give things like the ability to remove obstacles, and some levels really need these powers to complete them. The ogre is quite convincing somehow, so that you end up really wanting to save your sheep and keep going.
Beautifully displayed endless runner

Have you ever wondered whether you'd like to herd sheep for a living? It's an odd thought, but playing Wonder Wool for Android gives us the impression that it's pretty fun, especially when there are giants involved. This game features an awesome 'endless runner' game mechanic, packed within an amazing game experience.
In this game, you will need to herd sheep towards their destination by swiping. Swiping a sheep will force it to move in the direction you have asked it to, but only for a short period of time. Because of this, you will constantly need to swipe the screen to move the sheep forwards.
The story behind the game is that you are a powerful Greek god, and by controlling the elements you can blow the wind to control the direction sheep are running. Whilst a sheepdog could be just as useful, playing as a god gives you access to awesome powers such as wind breath, lightning, and more. I know what I'd rather play as.
There will be a giant that chases the sheep, so it's your job to keep them safe. By default, you can only use the wind power by swiping, but as you play you will earn wool that can be used to purchase new god powers and upgrades. The level designs are created so that it's often hard to get your entire flock of sheep away from the pursuing giant. To add an extra layer to the game, players can choose to herd their sheep into flowers to feed them. Feeding your sheep will increase their wool output at the end of the level, but they will also need to stop for a few seconds to eat. As you can imagine, it's always difficult to feed your sheep whilst also running from the giant.
Wonder Wool is free to play, and along with the great gameplay is a well illustrated, hand-drawn comic strip. There are absolutely no in-app purchases in this game either.
