Lots of settings, intuitive interface, modern design
not as intuitive as Google Inbox, occasional lags
Microsoft Outlook Preview for Android is a very slick and chic email app that reminds me a little bit of Google Inbox and old school Gmail, merging the best of both into one intuitive and modern design. Organize, archive and schedule emails with directional swipes. This one is worth checking out.
Microsoft Outlook Preview displays in both portrait and landscape to deliver Outlook email like you've never seen before. Remember the old days, when configuring Outlook to a master's degree in geekery and the patience of a Zen master? Well, now you'll have to become one with the universe on your own time, because the outlook for Outlook is pretty bright. Right off the top, you're prompted to select what email service you currently use, Gmail, Yahoo Mail or Outlook.com, and the app will do all the heavy lifting for you, delivering the whole of your inbox to this new app within a couple clicks. Yup, it's really that easy, and just to sweeten the deal, you can also integrate your accounts for Dropbox, Exchange, iCloud, IMAP, OneDrive and Box. I don't recall Outlook ever being this easy or convenient.
The app functions great, with snappy performance and an intuitive design that just feels right. Like Gmail, this one incorporates lettered tiles for your contacts, thus making them a tad easier to locate. The app then adds a twist of Google Inbox, with directional swipes that can archive or schedule emails with ease. Reading emails was equally dynamic and loaded quickly. Yes, you can add custom tags, folders and basically tweak this to make it all your own.
Microsoft Outlook Preview is easily the best version of Outlook I've personally tried. The app feels very modern and the clean and intuitive interface invites search and discovery. If you're looking for a quality email app from a reputable source, then this one is definitely worth checking out.
