Interesting turn-based online strategy

Decent animation, decent graphics, online multiplayer, lots of levels, unusual game play, simple controls, interesting physics
Jelly Wars for Android is a bit like the classic Worms games. You fire bombs at other characters; dragging to aim and holding to power the shot. The really cool thing about this one is that it’s a true online multiplayer. Each turn, it’s lets everybody take their shots, and shows you the prediction of how it’s going to play out, before assembling it into the final action. There’s a time limit, so if someone out there goes to sleep, they’ll just forfeit a turn. I’m very impressed by how well this works. It certainly adds to the experience; knowing the guy with a silly username you blasted into the water was a real person playing at this moment!
There’s a whole village side to the game, where you do things like upgrade your science lab, mine resources, catch jellyfish, and build bombs. You can improve your technology with things like sticky bombs and cluster bombs; and you’ll likely play against people with more advanced weapons first. The characters are really cute; and they talk a bit like minions. The game lets you know when a battle is starting, so you can choose to join it. Or you tap on the battle island to get one going. The levels are always different; I think they are randomly generated. There’s a crowd of jellys your color in the background, cheering you on.
I love this game on so many levels: it’s original, fun, endless and addictive. I just wish they had made it without the long wait times, and microtransactions for speeding things up; but there you have it. At least the battles are plenty fun to keep you going while your buildings develop.
Hectic 2-8 player online battle game

Neat graphics, online multiplayer, lots of levels, interesting plot
In Jelly Wars for Android, you will be thrown into a manic 2D arena along with a dozen other players as you fight for survival. You will be able to use various weapons and projectiles such as bombs to attack your enemies or the scenery.
If you are a fan of the Worms franchise then you will enjoy this game. The combat arenas are very similar to Worms, however instead of owning a team of controllable characters on a 2D arena, each player will control one character each. There will be up to eight players per battle, and bombs can go off simultaneously, which can make things pretty hectic.
To get weapons and projectiles to fight with, you will actually need to build structures and resource farms in your base, which is accessed outside of the battle screen. The building system has a time based structure that takes time or in-app purchasable currency to complete. I think it's very impressive that the developers have managed to fit in a casual city building game alongside the manic arcade arena battles.
The graphics and level designs are just as sweet as the jelly characters in this game, and the sound effects are also very decent. It may not be the most nice looking mobile game in the world, but the developers of this game have almost mastered the cartoon style 2D art approach.
Jelly Wars is free to play, and you can get away with playing most of the game without spending any cash. However, if you want to really kit your fighter out you may need to spend on in-app purchases.
