Quality soundtrack, responsive game play, simple controls, quality physics
Jump-pam-pam for Android is an incredibly simplistic arcade with a very straight forward set of gameplay rules. In this game, you must jump a small creature across different pillars using an aiming system similar to the one featured in the Angry Birds franchise. You get points for making jumps between pillars, and the game will end when you miss a jump.
When you first jump in to this game you'll probably expect to spend a few minutes playing before getting bored, but you'll be surprised about how much time can go by as you try and perfect your jumping. This game uses an interesting momentum based arched jumping physic. When you jump, your character will jump towards the point you've aimed at. After it reaches this point, it will start to arch downwards, so in most cases, your character will actually jump double the distance of your targeted location.
The character will also speed up the further you fling him, so you must learn to understand exactly how the jump curves to reach each pillar successfully. To make it harder, each pillar will be at different heights. Sometimes the pillars will be lower than the one you are currently on, whilst others will be higher.
On top of the great game physics, there is a nice background track and the graphics are fairly decent. It would be nice to have a bit more variation in game design, and some players may get bored with this lack of change.
Jump-pam-pam is free, so you may want to download it if you are looking for any free games that you can play to pass the time. You can unlock new characters with different appearances, both with in-game earned currency or currency purchased via in-app purchases.
