Hide and Seek (Story of Dorothy) for Android is a creepy top-down RPG that reels you in like a poltergeist, and may haunt your dreams.
You play a girl who woke up in the closet after a game of hide and seek and can't remember why she is there. The house is haunted and there’s loads of ghostly activity going on. There are also lots of perils, like doors that eat you alive, and skulls that chase after you. The only way to save your progress is by going back to the grandfather clock in the first room. So make sure you do that frequently, as there are plenty of unexpected ways to die.
Hide and Seek (Story of Dorothy) is a game that requires investment of time and attention. The puzzles are not always straightforward. It takes time to explore and figure out what objects you need to interact with. The music is chilling and adds perfectly to the atmosphere, though it gets frustrating after a few minutes.
It’s also really frustrating when you can’t figure out what to do, or where to go next. This is a common problem in these sorts of old-school RPG games, but they could have overcome it slightly with an in-game map, or just by being a little less cryptic. At least the character walks quickly (and she needs to, to run away from things). Hide and Seek is a new game that plays like a classic, RPG and horror fans are sure to love it.
