A lackluster Instagram camera

Has a wide range of filters, the camera controls are easy to understand
Limited camera functionality, the amount of useful filters are limited
The KVAD Camera + for Android is built from the ground up for taking Instagram pictures. It’s a basic camera app that has a ton of classic IG filters that can be applied directly to the view finder while you’re taking your picture, that way you’ll know exactly what it looks like before taking the picture.
The camera has a ton of different filters, but the majority of them are locked behind a paywall. You still get quite a few for free, though. Going through them all, I was really only able to pick out a few that really stood out to me. The others were something I’d consider too extreme to really be able to use in most cases. There are a few I could see some people using because it has that exaggerated Instagram look.
The camera itself is pretty bad, though. You can only focus on the center of the image. So if you want to take a macro shot of something, don’t get too creative. It also has no way to customize any of your pictures. No white-balance effects, ISO, etc. What you see is what you get. You can create a grid view, swap between your front and back facing cameras, and set a timer. That’s about it.
KVAD Camera + is a pretty limited camera app that, honestly, your regular camera far exceeds. Yes, this has some cool filters, but you can get a lot more accomplished by downloading Snapseed, or just using the filters that come on your phone by default.
