Leave it up to a bunch of rednecks to find out the single, most effective way to catch a whole lot of fish. Curious? Dynamite, of course! Super Dynamite Fishing for Android is all about you helping a poor backwoods man pay his bills the only way he knows how -- blowing fish up.
Let’s start off with a complaint. This is a game that felt like it was made back in 2009. The game just doesn’t scale with 1080p resolution, and the fidelity really shines through. So much, in fact, that it kind of detracts from the experience overall. It’s not a hideous game, but it just doesn’t do the game justice.
The fun part is blowing up fish. The game doesn’t short change you anywhere, which is great. I always had an overabundance of weapons. The ammunition is cheap enough, and even though you only had enough room for a certain amount of weaponry, I never found myself squandering for more.
I also felt like all of the upgrades were relatively cheap. There wasn't much grinding, and that is a great thing to see in a game like this. What many mobile developers don’t seem to realize is that more people are willing to play your game if you constantly have a carrot dangling in front of them rather than miles up the road. Within the second day I had already purchased my second boat, which actually handled much differently than the other.
The game has a lot of side objectives that you can attempt to complete, but you’ve only got a certain amount of time to gather all the cash you need for the day. The first time you head out, you might seem underwhelmed by the amount you make, but that’s because you were hesitant to blow up every fish you saw. Don’t be.
Super Dynamite Fishing is actually a lot of fun, despite the fact that the graphics really could use a ton of work. The progression system seemed like it went at a perfect pace, and it was fun blowing fishing up and shooting birds that tried to rob me of my loot.
