2D Telescopic Shoot 'em up

Loads quickly, dynamic gameplay, unobtrusive ads
Bullets cost currency
Modern Sniper for Android is anything but a realistic sniper simulator. But the departure from reality makes it all the more playable. If you've ever seen the move 'Enemy at the Gates', you'll realize that there ain't nothing fun about stalking one solitary guy for hours and hours. Luckily, in this game, there are plenty of guys to aim and fire at, and they fire back at you without killing you too quickly. And you can heal yourself with first aid kits. In reality, of course you'd be dead within seconds. But the dynamic makes the game more like a 2D shoot 'em up with a scope.
There are a few buttons to get accustomed to. They are well explained in the tutorial, which is quick and painless. There's a button to switch between the aiming or not aiming mode (you are less easy to hit when you're not aiming). There's a button with a picture of an ECG, which you use to hold your breath (so you hold your gun still). There's a slide for zooming (why isn't it just pinch to zoom?) And a button to fire. It takes time to catch your breath, and to reload. The bad guys duck in and out from behind windows and obstacles. So the game includes the basic gist of sniping strategy, but in a very simplified way.
The gameplay doesn't require you to make every shot count; but the IAP system does, as those bullets will cost currency! That side of things is pretty standard. Get paid for completing missions, Choose between upgrading armour and weapon, or buying bullets and health kits. Just make sure you don't run out of currency and bullets; or you'll have to pay to keep playing. On the plus side: quick loading times and the ads aren't too obtrusive. Modern Sniper will be fun for crack shots; who will be able to keep playing and winning for a good long while.
