Seems pretty popular
Run-of-the-mill kind of app, microtransaction filled
Badoo - Meet New People for Android is another dating app that attempts to match users together by utilizing a search and find system. You search through users and rate them either hot or not (except this time its yes or no through a check or an X). Then, you can sometimes find users who like you, if you liked them back. There is messaging, and also seeing other users around you in the same area by utilizing your GPS position.
Badoo doesn’t really offer much that I haven’t seen before. Most of the interface has different terms for common things I have seen before in other (if not in all) dating apps. There are things called encounters (which basically are “events” that might happen if you like another user. I myself had none). But I don’t expect these to work that differently than other dating “like-to-find-a-match” settings (you can also use credits to uncover matches). There are pictures of people, minimalist profiles, and of course mobile sorts of messaging. Badoo feels limited in a way, because it doesn’t have an extremely popular website that people use, unlike other dating apps.
Overall Badoo might get the job done if you are looking for the next hot date, but I’m not sure it has the viral popularity of Tinder, or the background of some other sites (I hadn't heard of Badoo before but it seems fairly popular). In some ways, I think it would benefit users to have every single dating site combine into one, in order to make the population pool that much bigger; because after all, they all offer very similar features and fairly aggressive payment models.
