Review Car Toon Town

Ollie Green
Lots of levels, exciting game play, addictive game play, simple controls
In-app purchases
ISince the relative dry up of endless runner games, a new type of game has popped into the play store, and it is known as an endless racer. Replacing the limited movement with a free open road, and giving players access to super fast vehicles, endless racers can be some of the most high octane timekillers out there; and Car Toon Town for Android is one of them.
In this game, you will first start with just one car, one game mode, and one level. But as you play, you will earn enough money to unlock dozens of other cars, stages, and new game modes as well. On the first stage, you have a large road filled with one way traffic. Your car will accelerate when the pedal button on the right is pressed and it will slow down when the left pedal is pressed. You can steer your car by tilting your device. This kind of control system is fairly straightforward, minimal, and for the most part it works accurately for this sort of game.
As you can imagine, each level is filled with traffic, and your job is avoid it at all costs. Hitting into any traffic will end your run, and the main aim of this game is to stay in-tact for as long as possible so that you can rack up a large amount of points and coins. At certain points in the level you will have a chance to unlock a new game mode, and these are the only unlockables in the game that do not require coins.
What I really like about this game is that its graphics are very stylized. While it may not be anywhere near a AAA blockbuster title; its style is something that works a whole lot better than many other 3D mobile games.
Car Toon Town is free, but all unlockables can be acquired through in-app purchases. You can also choose to watch optional ads to get extra rewards.
