Lots of levels, dynamic game play, simple controls, quality physics
Krashlander for Android is a fun, fast-paced skiing game that has a unique control system that gives the developer plenty of opportunity to make challenging levels with ease.
In the first few levels of this game, the basic controls are explained. You have a control wheel on the side of the screen that you adjust by holding down your thumb and rotating it in different directions. Similar to a virtual joystick, the control wheel has a full 360 degrees of freedom, and moving the joystick in different directions will change the posture of the skier.
To beat each level, you will need to knock down the snowmen. There are typically three snowmen, and you are given unlimited attempts to re-run the course and knock them all down. Stars will be awarded to you for completing each level, and as expected, more stars will be awarded for using less turns. You will unlock new levels by collecting enough stars from completing previous stages.
There are dozens of levels in this game, and you can go back and play the same levels again on two higher difficulty modes for an increased challenge. The graphics could be better, but the basic silhouetted designs are enough eye candy to keep things from getting boring too quickly.
Krashlander is completely free to download, and whilst there are absolutely no in-app purchases, the developer has chosen to add pop-up ads into the game. In most cases these, the ads only appear a handful of times in each playing session.
