Somehow, despite their original concept to be for making you laugh, clowns have managed to become a huge icon of pop horror. In Scary Escape for Android, you will be dealing with a lot of them, as you attempt to complete puzzles and find your way out of a dark manor filled with all sorts of scares.
Clowns may sound scary, but as you play through this game you will notice that the only real thing to be scared of are the horrifyingly difficult puzzles that are found within each level. Each puzzle leaves you with very little information about what needs to be done. So you are often left to your own devices to try and work your way out of each room.
The eery background music and creepy detailing in each stage only makes you more on-edge as you try and complete each puzzle, and you will often find yourself pressured to complete each challenge. If you are the kind of person that likes mind grueling logic puzzles, then this game will be your new best friend for the next dozen hours as you try to complete each level.
For those that have a phobia of tricky puzzles, video walk-throughs have been provided so that you can cheat your way to victory. I think that every now and then it is nice to have this kind of offering from the developer though, and each video walk-through can be watched for free, so long as you watch a short 10 second advertisement beforehand.
If you are a fan of difficult puzzle and logic games, then Scary Escape is for you. There are no "buy your way out" cards as far as in-app purchases are concerned, but you can purchase more levels if you manage to complete the free ones.
