Neat graphics, lots of levels, interesting plot, simple controls
Galactic Rush for Android is an endless runner game that really takes some skills to master. Spanning across multiple levels and environments, you will be able to run, dodge obstacles and collect biogel that can be spent on fancy new items from the in-game store.
There is a fairly simple set of controls that players rely on whilst playing this game. Although they are pretty straightforward, they are slightly different to the typical endless runner. For example, tapping on the screen will increasingly speed up your character, and swiping the screen after a jump will increase the jump range. Both of these controls are needed to jump over large obstacles and big gaps in the terrain.
Like many similar games, your only real goal is to run for as long as possible whilst dodging obstacles and collecting items along the way. There are power-ups in each level that can be picked up and will have a variety of effects; such as a shield that can protect you from hitting into obstacles, or a magnet that sucks up all nearby items automatically.
An interesting part of this game is the level select screen. By spending enough time on one level, you will unlock another, and each level will offer new challenges and a fresh scene to look at whilst playing. When you have ended your run, you can head into the menu to buy new characters or unlock new power-ups.
Nearly everything in Galactic Rush can be purchased with in-app purchases, but you can also earn most items from playing without spending real money as well.
