Record chart, interesting plot, addictive game play, simple controls
Light Shadow Racing Online is a fun racing game that puts just as much focus into the story as it does the actual gameplay. With great graphics, tournament modes and easy to handle controls, it's fun to pick up and play at any point in the day.
When you first start up this game, you will be taken through a short tutorial that helps you to get to grips with the basic controls of the game, as well as understand the interface and how the game generally plays out. The first thing you may notice from the tutorial is that the dialogue in the game has been voice acted, and that's not just for the starting sequence either. All of the conversations in this app have been scripted and voiced by real actors, and this really adds more depth to the already interesting story.
As far as actual gameplay goes, this may not be the racing game you were hoping for, but at the same time it does have a nice and easy experience that is perfectly suited for mobile devices. Instead of using controls to steer your vehicle through a race track, you will be given a one button control that requires you to time your gear changes. Good timing will increase your speed, whilst sloppy gear changes will slow you down.
The graphics in this game, as I mentioned earlier, are really nice; and there is plenty of opportunity to create the car of your dreams from the in-game stores.
Light Shadow Racing Online is free to download and install, although the car and upgrade store is heavily saturated with items that can only be acquired by spending on in-app purchases.
