Good social app, good for instagram
Not entirely useful for many purposes
Pop Messenger for Android is a new type of messenger. It’s really a caption type app, where you get a picture and then put some fancy text on it. The app really shines by being easy to use, and encouraging social interactions. At its core, it's an app with a simple idea and a good implementation.
Pop really is simple and easy to use. All you do is tap the gallery icon, load a picture, start typing, and then drag the text to where you want it to be on the picture. It’s also very easy to change the font color, and the angle of the text, simply by rotating it.
Besides the great interface and experience, Pop has to be rated for its value. I suppose the value depends a lot on personal preference. Would I use it? I don’t think so. I can’t think of any occasion where I had wished for text on a photo, and if I had it on my phone, I don’t think I would ever think to use it.
If I were to use it, it’d be to post funny pictures on Instagram or Facebook, with text on them. That's a little bit of a different use than the app seems to suggest, but an equally viable option. It could even be used to create a minor sort of meme.
Pop Messenger is a cool and fun app to use. It’d be a great app to add some personality to your photos on instagram, whether it is making a scenic photo more “deep”, or making some emo pictures with captions like: “Life, is darkness the only path?”, or even “Shadows surround even the strongest truths”. Hey! Don’t use those! Those are my captions!
