Unusual game design, neat graphics, unusual game play, one-finger controls
Dino Quest for Android might just be the perfect game for any budding dinosaur excavators out there! In this game, you are given the chance to dig around the world in the search for dino bones. And unlike in real life, finding bones can be quite easy, and travelling the world can be done within seconds.
There are two elements to this game. In the first part, you will need to dig an area of land in the search for fossil remains. This part can often be quite time consuming, as there is a lot of ground to cover, and only a set amount of items that can be uncovered. Digging in this part will use energy, but you can find coins, extra energy and other bonuses; alongside the dinosaur fossils.
Once you have found a dinosaur fossil, you can click on the area that it was found, and it will take you into another part of the game. In this section, you will need to use tools to dig through a rock to lift out the dinosaur fossil you have located. You will be given a tool that can pick at each block individually, and can speed up the process by buying better tools like mallets and TNT.
Once you have found a full fossil, you can move onto another section of the world, or view your fossil in the museum. The museum can be quite educational as it teaches you a bit about the different types of dinosaurs and their individual behavior. In this sense, the game may be more enjoyable to those who specifically like to explore and learn. The background music is quite relaxing, and the graphics are nice and colorful too; so playing this game can be quite a mellow experience.
Dino Quest is free to download, but there is an energy system that may leave you without the chance to play unless you pay for more energy via in-app purchases.
