Review Nightmares: Davy Jones

Gripping storline, atmospheric soundtrack, decent graphics
Some sections need to be purchased
Nightmares: Davy Jones for Android is a mobile game that is filled with a very gripping storyline and a great set of game mechanics that are simple for casual gamers to pick up and get to grips with. There are varying modes aimed at veteran players that make things a little more difficult, and extra stories that can be unlocked, both of which add to the longevity of the game.
This game is a click-based adventure, so a lot of the world will be explored by tapping on objects and characters within each scene. It takes a bit of patience to find each and every thing that needs to be completed, and once the tutorial is finished you are rarely given any tips or hints about what you need to do next. However, once you get immersed into the experience, you'll find yourself getting very involved with the story and the adventure the game takes you on.
The background music is superb, and the graphics are also incredibly detailed. There are plenty of cut scenes and dialogue to help add depth to the already immersive story. With the sounds, graphics and storytelling, you are unlikely to find many mobile games with stories as good as this one.
The story will last you for at least a few hours on the first play through, and a few more on the other difficulty modes once you have completed it for the first time.
Nightmares: Davy Jones is free to play, although to access parts you must spend real money on in-app purchases. There are also other extras and stories that can be purchased with real currency.
