Quality animation, quality graphics, lots of levels, really addictive
Is lagging, kills your battery, in-app purchases
Bubble Mania for Android is cute and funny. Kids will love this, as will puzzler and match 'em fans.
Bubble Mania had a lot going for it. The app is very refined in its presentation. It’s similar in play to a match three or Zuma, but with its own enjoyable twists. There’s a bunch of bubbles on the top 2/3rds of the screen. Along the bottom is a kitty cat with a tray of colored bubbles. The objective is to hurl bubbles upward, make matches, pop bubbles, clear the board and rescue the kittens trapped above. When the game gets moving, there are literally kittens raining down and bubbles bursting everywhere. It's very satisfying visually.
The graphics are very colorful and cute. The sounds are fun and the play is energetic and engaging. This one is surprisingly addictive. Cat lovers and kids would really enjoy this, but it’s actually just good, pure gaming fun anyone can appreciate.
The controls are excellent. It’s possible to aim and shoot bubbles with a lot of accuracy. You can even to rebound shots and get creative with your strategy. This one is a bit of a thinker’s game because you only have a set number of bubbles you can use to pop all the others, so planning and logic are part of the action.
The only real downside is the obligatory upgrades for power ups and to unlock other levels. It’s not overly greedy, but it does get hard to play without paying. Patience is a virtue and Visa is your antidote.
Bubble Mania is surprisingly fun and somewhat addictive, though I question how captivating it will remain in the long run; with or without spending money.
